A membership for fiction & nonfiction authors
You don't have to figure out the author journey alone.
A monthly membership where you get direct access to bring your questions, get real answers, and build your author platform alongside people who genuinely understand what you're going through.
Already a member?
You're doing the work. But you're doing it alone.
Somewhere in the middle of the author journey, most authors hit a wall.
Not a writer's block wall. A what do I do next wall.
You look around for someone to ask. And you realize there isn't anyone who quite understands the question. Your spouse tries. Your friends are supportive. But when you say "I don't know if my messaging is actually reaching the right reader" or "I've been showing up consistently and I still don't know if it's working." They look at you with kind eyes that tell you they're not quite sure what you're asking.
So you figure it out alone. You research. You consume advice that contradicts itself. You make your best guess and keep going with that low-grade uncertainty humming underneath everything.
Am I doing this right?
Most authors never have someone in their corner who genuinely understands the landscape. Someone who can tell you: yes, that's normal, here's what it means. Or: that approach isn't serving you, here's what to do instead.
They have advice. They have content. They have courses and podcasts and books about book marketing.
But they don't have a room.
What The Author Circle Actually Is…
It’s not just a library of content to work through on your own. It’s a room where your questions are welcome.
Twice a month, members of The Author Circle show up on a live Zoom call.
They bring their real question. The specific, messy, I've-been-sitting-on-this-for-weeks question about their specific book, their specific platform, their specific situation. And they get a real answer. Not a generic tip, not a module to watch later, but a direct response from someone who has spent 16 years helping authors find their readers and sell their books.
Here is how it actually works…
Two days before every call, I send members an email asking them to submit their questions in advance. This means that even if you can't show up live, your question still gets answered. It also means the moment the call begins, we get straight to what actually matters for the people in the room.
On the call itself, I read each question out loud and answer it directly. Members ask follow-up questions. Other authors share what has worked for them. Conversations build on each other in ways that are genuinely useful because the person two steps ahead of you on the same path often has the clearest answer to where you're currently stuck.
The calls run about an hour. The vibe is warm, laidback, and completely judgment-free. My husband Marcus is there for any technical support. And the replay is uploaded to the membership site the next day for anyone who couldn't attend live.
What members leave with is not just information. It's clarity. A next step. The specific answer to the question they've been trying to figure out alone for longer than they'd like to admit.
And around those calls is a community of authors who are in it alongside you. Authors who show up, share what's working, celebrate each other's wins, and remind each other that the hard parts are completely normal. Authors who understand the question because they're asking a version of it themselves.
This is what changes when you’re with people who understand.
What Happens When Authors Stop Figuring It Out Alone…
Keith Madison is an author who joined The Author Circle as a self-described rookie.
He was new to book marketing, uncertain about social media, and convinced that his questions were too basic to ask out loud. In his own words, he was afraid of feeling inadequate or intimidated.
What he found instead was a room where his questions were genuinely welcome.
Since joining, Keith's speaking engagements have doubled. His podcast appearances have tripled. And since January alone, he has sold approximately 400 books.
"As a 'rookie' author with limited marketing and tech skills, I was hesitant to join The Author Circle. I was afraid of feeling inadequate or intimidated. The truth is, I couldn't have felt more welcomed. Very few authors are gifted in marketing. That's exactly why I need Jenn dePaula and The Author Circle."

What You Get Inside The Author Circle
Built around one core promise: you don't have to figure this out alone.
Ask Me Anything Hours
Two live calls per month. Direct access to Jenn.
Twice a month, you bring your question to a live Zoom call and get a direct answer from someone who has spent 16 years helping authors find their readers and sell their books.
Submit your question in advance and it gets answered even if you can't attend live. Show up and get answers to the follow-up questions you didn't know you had. Watch the replay the next day if your schedule didn't cooperate.
This is not a webinar. It is not a pre-recorded training. It is a live conversation specifically about your book, your platform, and what you need to do next.
→ Your transformation: From making every decision in isolation to having a direct line to someone who can help you see your situation clearly.
The Resource Vault
Done-for-you tools, templates, & workshops to make implementation faster.
A growing library of resources that makes the answers you get on the Q&A calls immediately actionable: newsletter templates, Instagram and Pinterest strategy guides, podcast pitch scripts, book launch templates, Amazon ad walkthroughs, and more.
These are the tools that turn clarity into action.

Author Community
Authors who understand the question because they're asking a version of it themselves.
Inside The Author Circle you'll find a community of fiction and nonfiction authors at every stage of the journey - pre-published, newly published, and multi-book - who show up, share what's working, celebrate each other's wins, and offer encouragement rooted in genuine understanding.
This is not a space where everyone performs success. It is a space where authors are honest about what's hard and generous with what they've figured out.
→ Your transformation: From figuring everything out in isolation to building your author platform alongside people who are genuinely in your corner.
The Author Visibility Plan
Your step-by-step roadmap to becoming discoverable.

→ Your transformation: From feeling invisible and unsure what to post, to knowing exactly how to reach the readers your book was written for.
Is The Author Circle right for you?
The Author Circle is for you if:
✔️ You write fiction or nonfiction - at any stage, in any genre. The strategies inside work across the full range of what authors write and publish.
✔️ You have been figuring out your book marketing alone and you are tired of it. Not burned out on writing, but burned out on making every marketing decision without anyone qualified to help you make it.
✔️ You have questions that don't have obvious answers. About your messaging, your platform, your launch, your content, your email list - real questions about your specific situation that general advice has never quite addressed.
✔️ You are willing to show up. Twice a month for one hour. That is the minimum viable Author Circle experience, and it is genuinely enough to change the direction of your book's marketing.
✔️ You are at any technical skill level. Keith Madison called himself a rookie with limited marketing and tech skills and was afraid his questions were too basic. He found a room where they were completely welcome. So will you.

Why I built The Author Circle…
I'm Jenn Hanson-dePaula, and I have spent 16 years working with authors across every genre. From fiction to nonfiction, debut authors to authors with backlist books they'd all but given up on, to authors writing their tenth book who still felt lost on marketing.
The thing I kept seeing, over and over, was not a talent problem or a work ethic problem. It was an isolation problem. Authors who were genuinely trying, doing their best with the information they had, making decisions alone that they should have had support making.
I built The Author Circle because I wanted to create the room I kept wishing existed for every author I worked with. A place where the questions are welcome, the answers are specific, and no one has to figure out the author journey entirely on their own.
That is still what it is. And I am still showing up twice a month to be in that room with you.

Both. The strategies and tools inside The Author Circle are designed to work across genres. Whether you write thrillers, memoirs, romance, self-help, children's books, or anything else. The Q&A calls are tailored to your specific book and your specific situation, not a one-size-fits-all formula.

This membership is designed to help you build one from the ground up. Many members join before they have an established platform. The Author Visibility Plan starts at the beginning and walks you through exactly what to build and in what order.
-
Because the core of The Author Circle is not a library to work through on your own. It is two live calls per month with a specific time, a specific format, and a direct deliverable: your question answered. You do not have to navigate the resources on your own schedule to get value. You just have to show up twice a month. That is the minimum viable Author Circle experience, and it is achievable even for the busiest author.

-
Specifically yes. The majority of members inside The Author Circle are independent authors building their platform without a publisher's marketing budget or PR support. The strategies inside are built for exactly that reality.
